Airhead
Hi,

I bought the Roadmaster new in September of last year.  It is not surprisingly a '16 model.  Today I was very much in the zone, a true speed of 112klms/hr on the Garmin and an afternoons worth of riding to do.  This motorcycle has been everything I wanted when I signed the sales contract.  It took more than a few klms to get used to.  I am used to being able to throw a bike around, corner with gusto and accelerate with intent.  It is a lot of motorcycle to ride like that.

The Roadmaster is all of this in a cruiser/touring package.  Yesterday after a four hour ride, my wife kept extolling the virtues of the bikes pillion seat.  Comfort, support and a lot of fun.  The later shared with me as the rider.  I have had no issues in 10,600 klms.  Just keep a new battery up to the fob every three months...

The sound on over run is sublime.  The sound under decent acceleration ain't bad either.  Yeah, I'm a convert and would buy another one.
I like bluegrass, banjos and motorcycles.

Great review Air!!  That's what it's all about.  Keep on clocking up some kilometres and make memories we can look back when we are too old to ride.  😝😀

agreed, I have had my dark horse just on 12 months, it was off the road for 3 months due to an accident, but I still clocked up 20,000 in year 1.

Whilst I might piss and moan about the company, the bike has been sensational, never misses a beat, whether it has been around town or on frequent longer runs, and is close becoming a rival for the mrs in terms of who I give more love and time too...Luckily she is understanding of my ways

Great piece Airhead.
I smiled as I read your thoughts on the Roadmaster and I only wished I could click up the Km's you have. Could I ask re the battery in the fob, is that precautionary your changing it?

+1 I just changed move after 12 months of daily riding use as warning came up on display so would love to know why

Hi,

Yes a bit of preventative measure with the fob change, what will happen is that the bike will sound the horn after a few feet and I will think, damn it, will change the fob battery, this sorts the problem out.  I am on my third fob battery since September last year so maybe longer than three months but you get my drift.  Have just pulled everything off the bike to install a battery trickle charger.  Due to work commitments my riding is about to be limited for a while.
I like bluegrass, banjos and motorcycles.

Where are you placing fob when you go to ride, if I put in jeans no problem, of I put in club vest, not detected, it's usually not the battery but where you store the fob that stops it from being detected.  Your dashboard will advise when battery in fob needs replacement
