Has anyone fitted a floorboard lowering kit to their Indian? I’m finding my legs are a bit high on my Chieftain. Cheers.

Yes, I did my chief dark horse about 3 months ago. I'm 6'2 and it's made a huge difference, I feel like I'm sitting back in the seat more, rather than haunching over. It has made for a much more comfortable ride position, the floorboards do tend to scrape a bit though. I would recommend then for sure.  Install is quite easy, should only take 2 hours maximum.

There is thread on the Aeromach floorboards from a few years ago.

The floor boards were great but I had an accident on that bike and wrote it off. I bit hard into a big sweeper at speed. I never put the floorboards extenders on the new bike becuase I was paranoid after the accident and I didn't want to be worrtlying about scraping the boards on corners.
In reality it probably would have happened with or without the extenders but it is just a mind thing. The replacement bike has beach bars which also gave me a bit more room and I have gotten used to the leg position. But the riding position with the extenders was nice.

Thanks guys. I’ve ordered them and see how they go. I own a HD Breakout as well so I’m used to grinding bits off the bike in corners. 👍

The link didn't work in my previous post on this thread. I will try again as there might be some value in my experience installing the extenders. Simple job but here it is anyway.

Thanks Robbo. I did a search and found it but thanks for sticking it up. 👍

It looks like they’ve gone under. They’re not answering my emails. Fortunately no money has changed hands. I’ll see if a set of highway pegs help out instead. 🤦‍♂️
