It's very sad Andrew, a salesperson who understands the bikers culture at the Indian Ashfield store is leaving. Andrew in the last 2 years has played a huge role in the increased number of Indians sold that we now see on the streets and highways. One would of thought with the enormous turn over of sales staff the Ashfield store has suffered over many years, Indian would have pulled out all stops to keep him there. Sadly like so many businesses the hierarchy does not know or understands what happens at the coal face.

Sadly I think you are correct.  But on another more positive note, Andrew may be leaving to better his career and in this venture we wish him all the successes that can be bestowed on such an individual.  whilst it is bad for the Indian store, someone else is going to benefit from his experience and capabilities.

I don't know the circumstances behind his decision (and don't particularly need to), all I can say is that once a person has made up his mind to leave there is very little that a business can do to change the persons mind.  Funnily enough it doesn't take much to keep someone happy and conversely it doesn't take much to get someone off side and sometimes it is a combination of things, money, culture, management, home life etc etc.

One of the main reasons I bought my Chieftain was because of Andrew, he went in and batted for the deal that some else had made and tried to renege on.

He will surely be missed

I do believe that one of the factors (not saying the main one) for andrew leaving is that he lives in katoomba (or close to) and has to commute like 1.5hr each way and thats on a good run with little traffic. But he was excellent to deal with and always tried to help were he could

Yeh, I always dealt with him and I didn't get down there to say good bye to him.  Will see if Chris will give me his contact details or at least pass on my best wishes for him.

Bugger me, Andrew was my salesman when I bought the Roadmaster.
Bent over backwards, gave me a great deal, organised delivery of my bike to the Hunter Valley.
Unreal.

He was destined to bigger and better things, much more than Indian could provide for him.

Best of luck to him in his new venture.
