I always wear fingerless gloves but if cold I have the heated grips.

Heated grips are a good idea, but Big Tone has a Roadmaster with complete fairing etc. His hands don't get the wind blast like you do on the Bobber.

I've tried waterproof gloves with Thinsulate lining but they were too bulky for me to be comfortable in them, and once they get damp inside from my hands they are very difficult to get off and on. On my current bike I put on hand guards like you see on a dirt bike that came from an Indian aftermarket seller in the US. They keep the wind and rain off me very well. Heated grips made it all complete for cold / wet weather.
Cheers, Kim.

i think these would be better than grips which just heat the palms of the hands. add the hand wind deflectors no problems

I rode with the deflectors only in Canberra in the rain and my gloves didn’t get wet

Have tried a few different ways of keeping the hands working in the NZ winters. A good glove option if you don't have heated grips is the WFX five which has a neopreme liner, but all non heated gloves have their limits when riding in near zero temps.
I have Poly Heaters fitted inside the stock bars and last winter I also fitted hand guards (cost around 20 dollars on Wish and surprisingly fitted without modification). Lighter gloves actually keep the hands warmer than heavy gloves with this setup.
The Poly Heaters work quite well but I still find the OEM grips are too small in diameter for my liking so they are now coming off and a set of Avon heated grips will replace them.
