Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone has or know of anything like this in Australia. With space at a premium, storing the Chieftain upright would save some space and also make maneuvering around in a single parking spot possible and easy.

Yeah that's the next best thing. Sadly, it's still on its side stand on one of these. To maximise space, it really needs to be upright.

Ooooooh. I just found this one. And it's in Laverton so I might try and arrange with them to go and check it out and try it out. :-)

To visualise what I want to do, this is the best video I can find. Even uses both Indian Chief Vintage and Chieftain in the demonstration.

CHF10,
Did you find out if the Chief would fit on his design?

CHF10 I bit the bullet and bought one of the dolly,s from the guy in Laverton. There is no problem lengthwise, I was pleasantly surprised.
I first tried my Octane on there, the Indian was next. My biggest problem is I have a smooth finish floor in the garage, The brake Castors were skidding on the floor.
I need to make up some sort of rubber mat or wedges to prevent this, aside from this I'm impressed with the unit.
I haven't tried moving the bike around on the dolly because I have a stuffed hamstring.
I'll try to upload some pictures once I've reduced them in size.

Cheers.

The last photo is not the best but there is about 15-20 mm gap either side of the rear tyre.

Looks good. But does it need the tie down straps?

No it doesn't,  the bike stands upright ok, it's just Im paranoid . I did give the bike a push side to side, seems pretty secure, the front tyre is stuck in tight.
It's a lot weight to be spinning around, so I attached the straps to the provided eye bolts.
