Hey everyone. I’m thinking of buying a cardo scala packtalk duo, (researched the rest not interested). I am reluctant to buy it online and am after any info on stockist in the Melbourne area. Can anyone help point me in the right direction??

Hi James, I got the cardo scala duo for the shoei helmets (sho-1) - I reluctantly purchased them from Peter Stevens (I dislike buying from them) in 2015.
I might say, they have been a great unit.

I notice that the cardo scala packtalk duo is available at motoheaven in wickham road Moorabin for $790

MCAS - this is the cheapest that I have found at $695 and these guys have stores everywhere.

to save almost $100 I would go for a cruise to an MCAS store and check them out.

I believe the MCAS website advertising that $695 is inaccurate. I tried to buy some at that price a few months ago and they couldn't do it. Didn't even have those units in stock at all in Australia. They did however steer me to look at Cardo Smartpack duo. I was hard pressed to find a difference between the two units. Smartpack used to only connect to 4 riders in DMC but a recent firmware upgrade has increased that to 15, just like the Packtalk.

MCAS ended up supplying me the Smartpack duo for $700 and I'm so glad I didn't wait and fork out more $$ for the Packtalk in the end.

And the Cardo is a great unit, so much so that my best mate is thinking of upgrading from his Sena's to the Cardo's.

I would recommend looking at the Smartpack as an alternative to Packtalk.
