Anyone going to try the new ClimaCommand seat?

https://www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/shop/accessories/seats-backrests/2884419-vba/

I wish they had the seat cooler first, I have never needed the seat heater. I don't think I will be shelling out the $1200.00 US for a vinyl seat.

The description in part says,
"The rider and passenger both enjoy a comfortable ride in all conditions with this innovative ClimaCommand Classic Seat. This well-cushioned seat provides adjustable heating and cooling controls for the rider seat and the slightly elevated passenger perch. Enjoy a heated seat when the weather turns cool, and experience a cooling, comfortable seat that minimizes sweating and discomfort during warm-weather riding. This seat’s durable vinyl cover is water- and UV-resistant, easy to clean to maintain its showroom appearance, and features progressive styling and white stitching."

There is an aftermarket heated/cooled seat that a member on here is selling since he traded for a Challenger. That was the first time I've ever heard of cooling the seat. I wonder if they'll become more common now that somebody got the thought into our heads.

I've got a 12v peltier unit from a drink cooler around the shed somewhere. The gadget neurons in my brain are kicking in. 🙂
Cheers, Kim.

hm, bit low tech but I got some of them thar underwears from the Step people....
Actually Does feel cooler on/off the bike.  Maybe if bamboo works as a material you could try some sort of
bamboo seat cover????    Or is that PANDAring to urban myth??

right...  I imagine there have been cooling underwear made (fighter pilot getups come to mind) but I was referring
to the "Step One" brand that is advertised on TV, without trying to give them another advertising assist.
(mind you, personally, after the missus got me a couple of pair I DID find that they were a hell of a lot more
comfortable & cooler to wear than other brands. Bit expensive tho!)

I reckon if you're gonna sweat/get cold it's going to happen regardless.  Knowing me, if I got some sort of electrical
form of seat it would do the exact opposite of what I wanted!  I carry a piece of sheepskin (with wool) whenever I go
long distances, I find it does the same thing mostly.  Mind you, not so rain resistant!   ðŸ˜Ž

(I was just a bit wary of mentioning sheepskin on this forum! hahahahahaha)

Dog needs a helmet and I don't think that little sheepskin number is going to be heating any dogs butt any time soon.

Surprised V-twin has not weighed in on this conversation....
