Thanks Guys,
Won't be able to make Sunday unfortunately, tho the Friday night ride is a slim possibility at this stage...

Looking forward to putting faces to names sometime soon.  [smile]

Cheers!

Has Indian aquired a "stable" chrome power button bezel yet? All the 14's I've seen have flaking and look terrible...

I see you are a person of few words!   [biggrin]

Chrome bezel is made of plastic so they peel easily.  Cut and Polish on them would be a big no! no!!  But even without doing anything harsh, just from using the On/Off button repeatedly and one's glove touching the surrounding, they are known to peel.

Ouch!  Just had a very close look at mine (manufactured 2014 but registered as a 2015 model) and so far so good.  Shall be keeping a close eye on it and I will treat it carefully.  Maybe I have used mine less as I only use it to shut the bike down?  Who's bike in the picture?  I trust it has been repaired under warranty, even if out of the warranty period. Way to soon for that kind of thing to start happening. A few extra words this time V-Twin

I do the same... start by pressing 'Crank Start' button twice. Knowing how 'delicate' these buttons are, I have been careful to press the black button, rather than surround area by mistake.

The photo I came across on the net.

The good thing is, this seems to be one of the few items Indian covers under warranty right away. And even after the warranty period. [thumb]

Got off to a great start with the Doggies getting over the top of the reining premiers at the MCG. Big night.

Picked up the bike Saturday morning and rode back to Gippsland in glorious sunshine. Found it very easy to handle in city traffic, tho lane filtering is definitely a much more daunting prospect compared to the Bird. [eek]

On the highway it just excelled. Like a magic carpet ride. Loving the cruse control even tho it's a stretch to the buttons, it felt quite strange taking my right hand off the throttle and still coasting along.....

Roll on acceleration is impressive for a rolling lounge room, and it quite surprised the Triumph Thruxton rider that I was still with him at $1:80 and it was still pulling harder than a 14 year old with a playboy..  [rofl]

Went for a leisurely punt with the missus on board along some my local tracks, she commented that it's too comfortable as she nearly nodded off a few times..

It then stole attention away from me all night at the party, with most everyone wanting their photo taken with it and many saying it's the most beautiful bike they've ever seen.  I tend to agree   [smile]

So day one was a huge success, and I'm hoping for many many more to come!

Cheers.
Johnny

I'm surprised Thruxton could do that sort of speed.  I liked the look of those so took one for a spin.  She-No-Go!   [wink]

As for 14 year olds - they would have no idea what Playboy is!   [biggrin]

Welcome Sirsurfsalot, glad you finally found and purchased your Indian. I see you live in the local area. I am in Sale so if you ever want to join for a ride then send me a message. I do like the original Indian red too, good choice.
