Well - first thing first - welcome aboard.

I don’t know anything about Gilroys, but good to have you join the forum. Enjoy!

Gilroys are made in that place/town/city in the U.S.  My understanding is that they are sold under the Indian Brand & name.  They look like Indians but have an S&S motor rather than a stock Indian motor.  Look a tad different (the motor) but not sure if it is an Indian motor made my S&S or a "stock" S&S made to Indian type specifications.  (maybe something like a Buell?)
They still look alright, probably go alright.  Hard to tell, I've only seen photos, some DO look like an Indian with a Harley type S&S motor.  Again, hard to tell, would like to see one in real life.
Indians have been made by a lot of different people over the years, I've personally seen one in the Alice that was manufactured to look like a Terminator from the Arnie films.  It was kind of cool but also produced by an Indian manufacturer a fair time before the Polaris editions came on the scene.  It's still an Indian though.

Welcome to our forum 2000 Chief.  You have a rare bike in this company.  How many kms have you traveled on your Gilroy Indian?  Had any issues?  Just wondering how reliable they are.
Let's be kind to one another.

Interesting read, Indian Motorcycles (Gilroy) only built 50 of them as a tribute to the Terminator 3 movie, was just looking at Build # 1 which is up for sale in the US.

As I said, have seen one, a tad shorter than Indians are now but a very nice looking bike.  Low kms & barely ridden, probably around the block or to the bike shop (it got serviced regularly).  If you are into Terminator films you would love the bike.
I know what the asking price was/is but I wouldn't pay it.  Most of the guys who saw it were of the same opinion, they'd rather buy a new one for less.
Maybe when I win lotto?  (besides, you'd always be watching your ride just in case Skynet is real!)
