Hi all,

I ordered the attached luggage rack from China (TCMT Motorcycle Parts Co.,Ltd - professional manufacturer motorcycle parts factory in Guangzhou, China). The quality is great only $75USD including postage to Australia.

That is an outstanding value.  Does anyone remember how much the Indian luggage rack cost?  Off the top of head... I thought it was about $300.  Can’t remember.  I assume the bolts line up with Indian’s passenger back rest?  Actually, do they sell passenger back rest that will fit our bikes?  That would be huge savings.

Yeah V I checked just the other day. $300! 😳 So this one looks like a much better option!

I can confirm that the rack fits the Indian sissy bar.

I just had a look on line they do have a sissy bar for Indian (and quite a bit of other hardware).

By the way I understand this crowd are a wholesaler (you will see the minimum order is 10 units) but I emailed them direct and they sent me one - don’t ask don’t get!

😕 ...You could not have posted this 3 years ago when I paid $1,600 or something buying the passenger back rest, back rest pad in tan leather and the luggage rack??? 🤬😆

Thanks to David, if anyone reading this thread was thinking of buying the luggage rack from Indian for $300, buy this one for $105 and save yourself nearly $200!!  Great post David!! 😀

One of the options I looked at when buying a rack for my Springfield DH was the sissy bar and this rack. I'd planned to install the rack so it faced forward - there is just enough room behind my solo saddle for it. That would have given me a quick release rack complete with the sissy bar to tie tall luggage to. In the end I opted for a more basic aftermarket rack.
Cheers, Kim.

I bought the sissy bar, pad and rack from TCMT..... chrome had rust on it and the pad had small stain spots. I think it's luck of the draw with their quality. I wouldn't buy from the again after my experience.

Thanks for the feed back.  I don’t suppose you could show us some pics of the rust and stain spots?

The issue I have found with cheap Asian alternatives to anything (not just motorcycle accessories) is not that you can't get great quality but that you can't consistently get great quality. This makes it a lucky dip with a good chance of getting decent quality for the price, but also a fair chance of being very disappointed - and all shades of in between.
