Yep. If you are thinking of riding between April and August you will want then.

I don’t know how effective they are on Scouts, but on my Vintage, ridden without the screen, heated grips are not that effective at highway speed in the middle of winter.  They are more effective on a full fairing bikes like Chieftains And Roadmasters.

How you hold onto the grips makes a difference as well.  If you close your fingers tightly together and grip firmly, heated grips will be more effective.  However, if you grip loosely and with natural gaps between your fingers, the heat gets lost quickly.

Around town, heated grips a great even on naked bikes.

I mentioned in your other thread about the handguards I have. This is what they look like. Not everybody likes them, I get that, but they keep the wind off my gloves and in rain I can ride for a long time before the gloves start to feel damp. I take them off in summer unless I'm touring, it's about ten seconds to unclamp the RAM mount.

They come from Indian Aftermarket in the US, a small company run by one of the members of the international forum. Mine are the short ones in plain black. I painted them with matte black paint over the gloss plastic. I also changed the u-bolt mount to a RAM Rail Mount that looks neater. They are not cheap but are good quality and well made, and the exchange rate is not our friend at the moment.
