Welcome aboard Jethro.

Sounds like a great bike on the way for you, with plenty of good ideas on this forum about how to spend your money!!  Scouts are awesome.

I would have thought at this time of year, all Scouts should be 2020 build, but maybe not.

Are you implying that the dealer doesn't have one in stock and has to order from USA?

Hi John i rang Brisons in Newcastle they have a 2020 on the way being shipped to them tomorrow so stock must be here, i think Dealer is pulling a shifty triying to unload 2019 stock first i would take a bike that old but not at full price and i am not sure if a bike that old would have brake upgrade Cheers

Welcome, Jethro63. You will enjoy the Scout. They are a fantastic bike.
Polaris, like most import companies, are having a lot of shipping delays at the moment with all the sh1t going on. Indian Keilor say they are waiting on Challengers to arrive, but they are not due until late August.
Lucky I got in early.. ðŸ˜
Have fun when you get it.

The new models normally get introduced about September/Oct. So one built late 2019 would be model year 2020 with all the new bits.

My 2018 Springfield has Oct 2017 build date and Dec 2017 compliance, so two months from factory to showroom. I bought it 28/Dec.
Cheers, Kim.

Hi yes yeah i don't understand how a dealer can sell a bike that is 9 months old as is my case bike was built 09/19 i don't care about compliance as it doesn't affect value if bike is written off for instance i would get market value for a 2019 bike i have refused delivery until i get 2020 built i will wait no problem the Harley softail i looked at was built 3/20 compliance 5/20 cheers Jeff

Welcome to the forum Jethro, Scouts are a great bike.  Tricksy thing when looking at bike models compared to build date.
Still, sounds as though you have got it sorted.  Enjoy the bike when you get it! ðŸ‘

Just reading through the thread, it sounds like you are definitely waiting out for a 2020 plate.

Fair call I reckon, particularly if you are prepared to wait a little longer than you would otherwise have to.

"No regrets" is a good policy . . .

Hey mate cash is the control, the new USA bikes do come out about mid year due to the US spring/summer so we are always behind.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy the Scout when it arrives. No need to tell someone who has already been around the block a few times but take care on the new bike while you settle in to it.
