Rodd
Hi, Like many I've been riding more years than I care to count. Nearly two years ago the Christchurch Indian dealer let me loose in the Port hills on a Scout ...... clever man, that was an easy sale for him. Have covered most of NZ on the Scout since then, over 45,000 kms and a lot of that two up with my wife.
I'm looking forward to being a part of this forum.

Great to see you are getting full value.

Hey John,
Or just 3 laps of Aus. Not sure I could deal with the long straight roads though.
That being said, planning to ride Tassie and some mainland in 2020.

Hi Rodd,

Welcome to here. I had a 2016 Scout and it was perfect for Tassie, but not so good on the rough roads near home, so have moved to a Springfield.

Keep us updated on thoughts of coming over here to ride, there will be locals who'd like to show you their local playgrounds.

Cheers,

Cheers, Kim.

Thanks,

I'm doing the research atm between shipping my scout over for a few weeks or hiring a bike there. We're thinking April / May at this stage so would prefer it to be on an Indian so we can join in the Silvo challenge. Haven't found much in the way of Indian hire online so far.

Busted.  I never really looked around here before and I'm still working out the differences in how this forum works. Reading through the threads I recognise a few names. I agree it does seem like a friendly place.

Welcome Rodd
Tassie would be a great ride. Hiring bikes in Australia is not cheap and you would  probably have to take one across from Melbourne if you can find one for rent. I think the Melbourne dealer hires bikes out.
