Dr.Shifty
Hi from sunny Lake Mac, just out of Newcastle.

I bought my Scout Sixty a week ago after liking the look of it since the Scout came out two years ago. It's my first cruiser after fifty years on sporties and dirt bikes - although my first bike, a BSA Bantam in 1966, could not be called either sporty or dirt. [smile]

I ended up here having found there were two Oz forums and the international one, so I'm on all three with the same name.
Cheers, Kim.

Thanks for the welcome.

My feet are having the hardest time - trying to get them to go to the new peg position. I suppose that's because they are furthest from my brain. [smile]

Cheers, Kim.

Welcome Dr Shifty to our humble forum.  I suspect that the move to the cruiser has been a bit of a culture shock [smile]  and I don't know about you but I am not as streamlined as I once was [biggrin]

Welcome to our tribe!  We are easy going bunch and very active.

Congrats on your Scout!   [thumb]  They are cool bikes... I love the look of them also.

Welcome Shifty, there's a few scout riders on here from Hornsby/Central Coast.
We've tried to organise a meeting at Pie in the Sky at Cowan a couple of times. Maybe we can do something soon?

Culture shock? Most of my riding mates know nothing of culture. [smile]
My wife and I rode through VietNam a few years ago on a little 150cc cruiser, my intro to the feet forward thing. I got used to it then and am slowly getting used to it again.
Yeah, I'm still a streamlined 75kg. [smile]

Cheers, Kim.
