New to the forum - I am a HD and Ducati owner at present - but I am about to buy a 2018 Dark Horse.
Look forward to some good advice on how to make the most of my new Indian

Cheers

Welcome Barry,

We welcome riders of any brand.  Feel free to ask any questions.  By the way, which state are you from?

My two favourite Indian bikes are Chieftain Dark Horse and Springfield Dark Horse at the moment.  I am digging the 19” front wheel.
Let's be kind to one another.

Welcome Barry!

The first thing you should do to it is put a sheepskin on the seat. Comfort, looks, the ladies swoon and everyone else just gets jealous. [biggrin]

Second, ride naked! It's just as awesome as the sheepskin and made even better because of it. [biggrin]

Welcome Barry.

I really like the chieftain dark horse.  Not so sure about a 19" front wheel but would have to ride one to see what it's like.  I think the "blacked out" look is real nice.  My only concern is the paint and how easy it is to look after - never had a dark horse so I can't advise but it does look like it would be so easy to mark it.  As I said, I like the look but I prefer gloss.

Hi Barry
Welcome to the forum. I have always been a fan of Ducati and briefly flirted with the idea of getting a Diavel.
The Indian Chief style suits me and I strongly suspect (hope😉) they ell keep their value better long term.
The satin black paint is actually quite easy to  look after. Wash in a mild detergent using the two bucket method (wash and rinse) and that is about  all. There are some products you can get that are good, the manual reccomends the Citrus based spray for hard to clean stains. You may have to wash it slightly more often but no hard rubbing and no polish so it is really easy to do and less chrome to polish 👍👍

welcome Barry...I would be buying the Dark Horse if I didn't have to cart around a wife on the RM.
