Hi all
Has anyone had anything to do with these backrest sissy bars for sale on eBay?  They are less than half the price than the full version from Indian.
My question is are they a reasonable quality?  Or are they just cheap crap not worth looking at?
Thanks

G’day Chief

I bought one of eBay for my vintage - see this post for a pic

got it even cheaper - only paid $435. 👍

So your quite happy with the quality?  No chicken sh.t welds that sort of thing?

Very happy. The only difference I can spot between it and the genuine is that it doesn’t have the logo on the bar at the back of the pad. Welds seem fine and chrome appears of good quality

It has the holes to take the luggage rack as well in case I get the urge in the future 😉

Many riders on the international forum have posted positive comments on these. Some of them say that it's the same factory as OEM but they ship them out cheaper without the logo. The greatest concern was whether the chrome would last, but it seems to be as good as anything else.

So I have delivery of the black sissy bar from China (eBay) complete with backrest pad and luggage rack.
What would have cost me $1600 from Indian, I have delivered to my doorstep in exactly 7 days for $500 (my best offer accepted).
Really happy with the quality, thanks for the info fellas 👍

Yeah definitely didn’t expect the quality for the price, was expecting at least one chicken s..t weld and maybe a bend out of whack but no all good. Wifey is still not convinced it’s all for her, she says if it were “all for her” I wouldn’t be out in the shed staring at it all the time 😂
