I assume everyone found this in their inbox recently.

It is an interesting development out of the re-organisation.

We can only hope it means a greater interest in the Indian Motorcycle riding community, but only time will tell...

IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU

We believe the choices you make define you. It takes no effort to join the crowd. But it takes confidence to go your own way. Since 1901, we’ve been the choice of riders who make their own rules. We exist to create experiences that celebrate our legendary history, for riders who realise we’re all part of something bigger than ourselves, and are proud sharing that passion with other like-minded individualists.

We’re pleased to announce the first of many updates to our rider group for Indian Motorcycle owners, Indian Motorcycle Riders (IMR). The rebranding of the group is just the beginning, we've brought the management of IMR in house and are committed to offering more value to our members.

IMR exists to bring our riders together, to share stories, photos and your passion for all things Indian Motorcycle and to receive special support from us when you need it. We’re proud to offer our members exclusive new benefits, more rides in more locations, more events and exclusive IMR offers and promotions including 10% off our online store* and a brand new private Facebook group run by Indian Motorcycle Australia. On top of this, we've also developed a dedicated after sales service center for all IMR members to provide additional assistance when needed.

Stay tuned as we plan to announce further benefits sooner than you may think.

Had it Two inboxes actually.  Long story, but, I will believe it when I see it.  At least you can get some sort of
discount without the person at the counter thinking you are a... well, whatever they think.
I remember turning up at an Indian dealer (with the IMRG t-shirt on) & asking about where to go to meet other
members & what it gets me at the shop & being embarrassed as heck with the look I got.  Was used to the other
american dealer's setup.  Oh, well, let's hope this works out in a more nice way.

Yep, expectations aren’t super high, but will wait with bated breath...

I thought the 10% off was a good thing until I saw that it was only at their online store where the discount is easily eaten up by postage. I understand that they can't speak for local dealers but the local shop is my first place to look for stuff. Even if it's a bit more expensive, I like to see local businesses stay open.

Their statement about after sales service got me intrigued. Once again I wonder what relationship that has with the local dealer. If they are planning a straightforward channel for an owner to get in touch with head office when the local dealer is uncooperative, why make it for IMRG members only? Similarly, the other things they talk about like more rides and events are things I'll wait and see how they go for regional riders. I remember the dissatisfaction expressed on this forum about the Melbourne rides which meant riding to a car show and disbanding.

Many of us remember the spam-filled IMRG forum from a few years ago, with their empty promises about cleaning it up and their refusal to allow members to set up local rides on the forum. It was their insularity and inaction that led some members to walk away and start this forum.

Maybe they've been to rehab and got their stuff together, turned a corner, seen the light, found themselves, decided to make the world a better place. 🙂
Cheers, Kim.

I guess that is a possibility!!

My expectations will be easily exceeded, given how low they are ! !

I rang up Indian just before they put out the announcement.

I asked if they were getting some of the new accessories that they have released in the USA such as the new saddle bags. I got told they were not but they could special order them in.

Made me wonder what’s happening if they are not getting much of the new stock in.

Gotta start somewhere, at the Harley store in Perth they would ask " Did you buy your HOG from Us?"  "Yes of course" Result was 15 to 20%.
