I bought the unbranded Universal Highway Pegs from Ebay they came as stated no instructions, no big issue as how hard can it be .When it came time to put them together the washers supplied that go between the pegs where they attach to the mount had me bluffed but after a lot of stuffing around and some searching You Tube I found how they went on and wow they are tight as ,but you need them to allow the pegs to stay in the upright position when you lift them. Anyway I finally worked out a way that will allow my short legs to be able too use them comfortably once fitted. Here is my end result. I wanted them to be close as I could to the bike so when in traffic they did not stick out. Now they fit under the lower Fairing cubby when not in use and fold out enough so I can still leave my heel on the floor boards if I wanted too.

Very nice! Is there a way they could mount so the toe is resting in front of the crash bar and still fold in so they're not wider when stowed? What's the eBay and YouTube links? Cheers.

These were short arm mounts but if your legs were long enough you could mount them there , however I am only 5`7`` so around 168cm with a instep of 29`` . This was the best way for me to mount them . I may tweak them a bit more after some time riding to work out the most comfortable position. The arm it self is adjustable so can be used in a lot of positions and depending on the reach you need for your legs. I tried to have them lower on buy crash bars but could not reach them or they would contact with the road. I would be something you need to work on to make it work for you. The You-Tube channel is a Harley guy called Steven Housden ,he does a lot of Harley stuff , but had the same highway pegs and mounts to mount on his bike. The eBay  shop is knight-motoparts .

They look cool.  I just use the crash bars myself, it's a tad comfortable on long rides when your legs get cramped & I don't really like having my feet away from the controls that much.  Still, have been thinking about highway pegs, these look good. ðŸ‘

Croc I leave my heel on the floor boards and rest me toes etc on the pegs. If anything I may need to move them outwards about half an inch, as my right foot touches the pegs even when in the upright position if I don't think about moving me foot when using the brake. I am only 168cm and size 7 shoe .If I readjusted them as I mentioned I don't think anyone would have issue .The best part I like about these is they tuck away behind the lower fairing and when extended they don't feel as if your straddling a 12 foot wide bus lol.

That sounds good GC, I still have to get used to having crash bars on the Vintage (even after 3+ years, never had them before on my bikes) and always a bit dodgy about adding more to the clearance.  Having ridden long kms/miles tho, something to change your leg position is always a good thing.  Your setup Does look good, thanks for the info, will certainly take that into account!

I imagine those moustache bars would be good for that?

I just installed these  Kuryakyn toe rests. I don't like the look of highway pegs, or having my legs spread out (also I am somewhat vertically challenged ðŸ˜•).

I used to find I was resting my feet on the bars and leaving scratches. I had been looking at those for some time and finally bit the bullet. I must say they are perfect in my view. My feet are rested comfortably and never far from the controls.

I thought I would mention these as an option to regular pegs if anyone is looking to buy something.

I should take a pic of them installed on my RM, but the link shows them beautifully.

Cheers

They look alright RMNL, I can't say I've ever seen them before.  Got me thinking now, they'd do the trick for sure.  Thanks for the info. ðŸ‘

+1 to the Kuryakyn toe rests.  Great mod ... I use them for everyday riding.

They are in the perfect leg/foot position (for me) - ready to pounce on gears and brake.

Love 'em.

Let me know if a pic is needed.

Sorry for the thread revival, but I'm looking at a set of the below pegs for the Springfield.

https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/kuryakyn-longhorn-offset-iso-dually-highway-pegs

I am unsure what size to order for the bike though 🤔 as the circumference of the crash bars is 4" on a flex tape, but the options are 1", 1&1/4" or 1&1/2"...  Is it referring to diameter vice circumference?

What size should I order?? Help?! 😄

Yes, that's right.  This video might help.

Happy days - diameter instead of circumference 😎👌
1&1/4" is the measurement needed.
