Hi all I have a 2014 111 origional and my chrome on my mirrors has cracked and is peeling away has anybody else had this problem. The peeling is down near the swivel point. Ive shown Indian in Perth and we are now waiting for a responce from head office.

Oh and before asked the bike lives under a proper bike cover under cover so is not exposed to the elements. There is also some signs of rust on one mirror arm. Ive had cars and bikes prior which were a lot older that did not get the loving my Indian gets that have never deteriorated this fast.

G'day Kevin,

Welcome to the tribe. I have not heard of chrome peeling on mirrors but I had my mirror stems replaced due to rust.

Unless there are damages (eg. Stone chip) on your mirror that may have initiated the peeling process, I would say Indian would warrant and replace your mirrors for you.

I have had a set of pinical mirrors replaced due to corosion in the lower frames because they are not sealed around the mirror glass like the std mirrors, I sealed my replacment set with glass sealer.

What is 'glass sealer'?  Spray or tin of paint you brush on?  Is it like a clear coat on paint?
