I agree i think the shop is great. Im working up here at the moment and know of a few HD owners that get there bikes serviced from the indian dealership,
They also has a few of there own Darwin Indian dealership shirts, singlets etc for purchase at a reasonable cost

I have been in and out of the Darwin shop for a few years, just dreaming and creaming over the bikes, asking questions etc.
The owner (probably sick of seeing me) was always great to talk to and very informative with answers to any questions.
He had the bike set up for the missus and I when I wanted to test ride one, and gave advice on accessories when I asked about purchasing a bike.
Looking forward to getting the bike and putting many kms on it.
They do it different here in the top end, the owner is an old school biker! Long hair, beard, stubbies, singlet and thongs. No sleek suited, well dressed take your cash and give fa sales pitch, just honest advice.

I bought both my bikes from Rick, the Darwin dealer.  Top bloke, bloody good mechanic and no BS.
I've put up other words about him & his shop & the excellent service on other links of this forum.
Can't praise him enough.  From helping with accomodation, going out of his way in many other ways, he is old
school in his service and is an old school biker, just what I needed (coz I'm old school too! haha)

I know Rick from Outback Indian since a couple of years. One of the very best here in Darwin. We bought a Victory Boardwalk in 2014 from him and had always best service and best advice.  Now we have bought a used ( 4300) RM with 116 kit installed in Sydney and the bike was on arrival stalling and the engine warning came on. Rick helped us even as we turned up 10 minutes before the shop closes on a Friday afternoon. We tested the bike over the weekend and still had problems with the bike once it was hot.
Dropped the bike of on Monday morning and Rick did an amazing job flashing the ECU and tuned the mapping for us.
The bike runs now perfect with the 116 upgrade. My wife is so happy. We trust Rick with our bike 100% as many other do.
He provides excellent service always happy to help the customers. No BS or pressure on sales.
We have asked 4 month ago for a test ride on a RM for my wife and made a appointment for the next Saturday morning. to our supplies he had prepared a RM for my wife and a Chieftan for me for a test.
To be honest we see the service with many lagre bike shops declining but he keeps up the good work. This service might convince me to get an Indian myself when I am in for a new ride.

I wholeheartedly agree!  Rick was amazing with his service & professionalism (not to mention he is a great, old school type dealer/biker) every time I dealt with him.  When I first got my Chief Vintage I arrived just before the afternoon rains.  I'd lived in Darwin so knew what to expect but Rick was worried that my taking off on a brand new bike (of a type I hadn't ridden before) in that weather was not a good thing.  He arranged for his assistant to give me a lift to a local pub (that had accommodation, oh & skimpies/strippers) & I took off the next morning (sans rain).  I've been back there a few times since & he never changes, great guy!  (I even bought my Scout off him later, couldn't pick it up so he arranged all the delivery to Alice for me, at minimal cost!)

I just wish that ALL bike dealers were of the same calibre as Rick.

Great to hear NT is so well served with your dealer.

I always like hearing stories about outstanding customer service.

I am sure they get loads of referrals, which is the best marketing possible.

Good on Rick - he deserves any success he gets by the sounds of it.

I met Rick in 2014 and found him to be a honest down to earth bloke.I was looking to buy another Harley. I heard he was a good mechanic an services a lot of Harleys. I went to check him out and was pleasantly surprised with the support he offered and no pressure to buy a bike. He had a few Victorys there and my eye was attracted to the Hammer "S" as it was all black. I took it for a ride and we all know what happens next. A few weeks later I had it in my house protecting it from a nasty monsoon that lasted for a week and felt like a month.
Whenever I had issues or queries Rick has been straight to the point advising the best solution .
I was interested in looking at a Roadmaster and there were no Roadmasters in the NT back then, so Rick arranged with Brisbane Indian for my wife and I to do a test ride, they loaned us a RM for 3 days and we went everywhere and then that confirmed our decision to buy a RM. Rick then set up the bike the way we wanted it with stage 1 & 2 accessories. Love Outback Indian Rick has a good selection of his own clothing also.
For a good Territory motorcycle shop experience give Rick a visit in Winnellie
