So the Washington Redskins have to give up their name and Indian head logo.......

What does that mean for Indian Motorcycles and the headdress?

It wouldn't worry me much, although the question is getting some airplay on the international forum. The view there is that native Americans are OK about the brand as it's considered to be respectful.

It's also interesting that the news I was reading was that their major sponsor requested the name/logo change and not the team management itself. I guess social media gets onto these issues and companies feel the drop in income.

I'm probably more invested in the stuff I grew up with 🙂
They've dropped their headdress logo, maybe the name is next.

It used to be that we'd eat a many of these as we could at recess and see who got the most hyper in class to the point of making the teacher get upset. Maybe they could change the name to 'Teacher's Pet' or something. 🙂

Still, a valid point about the brand name.  Some of this PC stuff/fallout from the BLM movement is just out of hand.
Banning "Colonial, Chicos, Freckles, Coon" due to the perceived naming process is ridiculous (let alone the impact
on the companies involved to change brand naming)
It's in line with ripping down statues & trying to change history.  You can't ignore/erase past history, you should be
learning from it!  Hm, and don't get me started on Noddy!

Let alone poor old “Ginger Meggs". And I hate to bring sheep skins into the conversation - but what about the good ol’ Ugg boots - whose name has been hijacked by some US mob.  😂

They tried it and got chased out of court here in Oz. Perhaps they think they own the name in the US.

For a long time people are getting too soft and looking into things the wrong way. When I was a kid and only had channel 2 on TV we had Hector the cat say good night he was removed for sexist idiots, then Humphrey Bear was next for not wearing pants. Some people need a glass of cement and harden up
