So for those Perth riders who don't know, yes we have our service department back.
Located at the  Holden dealership in Mandurah.. and its a good one..

Ok having seen the demise of what could have been ,and was for a very short time a ground breaking dealership.

It all went down hill so quickly.. And so many just gave up on it, and with just cause too. True colors started to show and lack of skilled management all the way up the line made for a absolute debacle of it, being non riders and sole interest just in themselves and made a mess of it all. Including the IMRG.

But wait there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Shane with the Holden dealership in Mandurah has stepped up and takin it with much enthusiasm,  running a successful business for over 20 years there.. this is very welcoming news for us riders here.. yes i know its down south somewhat but its a start.
Having met Shane (yes he rides even if it is a Victory lol)  i encourage all riders to get down and check it out and if you need any recalls sorted or anything they will sort it..
Let's support a local business.

Cheers

Yeah it is Robbo - but it is a good excuse for a nice run.👌

I’ve just booked mine in for its service in a couple of weeks time and to get the gear switch recall done (all up 3 hours apparently). Have been offered a loan car if needed but am hopin’ the lockdown rules will have eased a bit by then and will just spend the time in Mandurah 👍😎

We have the RM and DH booked in for first annual service and the gear switch recall next week.  A decent ride to Mandurah, but the weather looks good so looking forward to it!!  The service on the phone so we could arrange both bike services and recalls on the same day was excellent.  The offer of a free loan car was unexpected but most welcome as we will need it (just replace fuel used).  Will let you know how it goes, but very impressed with the customer service so far.

Nice offer they gave you Pacman. I'm looking to ride down there next week to arrange a service (& possibly check into recall work)
for my Vintage.  It's not that far from Kwinana but it's still a while to wait to pick up a bike (at least with no pubs open!).
In the past I've left bikes overnight for next day pickup but a car to drive is very generous of them.  Still, in my case, I can get the
other half to run me around.  Hope the servicing goes well.

I can second those that have given the Mandurah guys the thumbs up.  The friendly, helpful staff were fantastic, we were given a free loan car to use for the day (just replaced the fuel used), both bikes were serviced, gear indicator switch recalls completed and maps updated.  When we went back this afternoon to pick them up, we met Shane and he certainly shares our passion for Indian motorcycles!!  Well worth the ride and we couldn't fault the service, thanks to Shane and the West Coast Polaris team ðŸ‘.  Would be very happy if this became a permanent arrangement with Indian.

Just got back from mandurah dealer (Holden) & have to agree, the staff were Very friendly & helpful.
Got a service lined up for next Wednesday & they even threw in a recall fix as well.
(nicer looking staff than at the Cannington shop)  hm, sorry bout that.

Mind you, not having the urge to equip myself with a nav thingy, I was almost to Pinjarra before I figured
I'd taken a wrong turn.  Oh well, nice day for a ride.

Will see if their mechanical expertise is as good as their front counter work next week!

Yeah Numbat, certainly did.  Mandurah is all changed (roadwise) for me.  Been many years since I was down that
way & the road system is way evolved from what I remember.  Gosh!  There aren't even Bullock tracks anymore! ðŸ˜

Picked up the Vintage today, service was cheaper than the Cannington Dealer charged me before, curious.
Got the recall work completed.  Bike ran well coming back home.  Liked the whole experience.

After deciding not to take the risk last week with Perth’s wild weather I postponed my service/recall until yesterday at Mandurah Holden. (Gone are the days of unnecessarily riding in the wet)

A mate took his CV as well and had them done at the same time. All in all took 5 1/2 hrs for the two bikes.

We had arranged for our wives to follow us down in a car and spent the time getting a feed and sightseeing in
the area (went across to Pinjarra and Dwellingup). There were two other bikes getting done as well.

all in all very pleased. Staff very helpful and friendly. They had booked a courtesy car which we didn’t end up needing and the service was only $295. I believe they were charging $350 at Cannington- so that’s a bonus.

The security/start PIN had to be reset because the ECM got flashed as part of the recall.

Happy with the service received.😎👍

Glad to hear the service went well, I also noticed that the servicing cost was cheaper at the Mandurah centre
than at the Cannington.  Bonus!  They seem to be a whole lot more professional too.
Wouldn't be too upset if the Mandurah dealer keeps on as the Dealer, then again, just down the road from me.
