I received several offers from various Harley dealers and that got me thinking about Indian.  Did anyone get any 4th July special deals this year?  Wasn’t there a party at the dealerships last year?  Maybe Polaris Australia forgot?  We don't celebrate American Independents Day so... wasn't sure if anyone else heard anything.

So the Perth dealer took the lead and went ahead with a promo event.  Nice!  I hope they had a good turn out to make it worth while.

There was certainly not the hype that we saw last year.  I got nothing.

I was just discussing this with the BYB.
Apparently Victory Indian Sydney did have an "Independents Day Sale" with up to 50% off, but I only found out about it after spotting a post on FACEBOOK.
Pretty Piss Poor effort I think.
Previous years I received an email and a text message.

Daggers
Indian Melbourne City store did advertise a sale and BBQ but only discounts on apparel. The Melbourne weather was terrible which might explain why I couldn’t smell sausages and onions! I did however manage to get 30% off an Indian leather jacket which was a significant saving.

Yeah, I went into the Melbourne store and came away hungry! I agree, not like it was a few years ago. I did manage to get 30% off a nice Indian leather jacket saving $180 but that was the only bargain with most other apparel only the 10%. Worth it for me in the end because of that one item. I probably would have bought a few shirts also if it had have been more like 25% off or more, you know, just to get people in the door on a cold wet day....hence the BBQ would have been good.

Hm, didn't see anything about the Perth shop event.  Still, I have only used them to service my bikes, not an actual purchase customer.
Might have been nice to get some cold weather gear, I am woefully remiss in that area at the moment. (and it's been bloody cold here)
