I designed and made patches for my U.S. forum that I belong to: http://www.Indianmotorcycles.net . All my profits go to a veteran's charity here in the states. Any interest for a design for this forum? I would designate someone there from Oz or NZ to distribute them, and all the profits would go to a charity based in Australia or New Zealand. Here's the patch I made for my U.S. forum. I've sold quite a lot of them all over the world.

Hi Chief Signguru and welcome to the Au/NZ forum.

That's sure is a real nice patch, I didn't know that the international Indian forum had a patch made for them,, well there Ya go...

What would the Auzzies and NZers jointly like to see as their mascot on a patch?

Nice work, I am not a patch person really but I would buy one for my wall just to support a good cause.
You are clearly a good man Chief Signguru.

I designed it out in CorelDraw and Flexisign, and then I gave the vector file to my buddy at his embroidery shop. I'm not positive, but I think he uses a Tajima with 5 or 6 heads. I don't know what software he uses.

For  Aussies the Southern Cross star constellation, as it appears on the flag is a probably a go.... Certainly interested in purchase to support a good cause, what is the cost and where can we buy..?

If I design a patch about the same size as the one seen in my photos, the approximate cost would be $15 USD plus postage. I could designate someone in in Oz or NZ to be the shipper, and send them quantities to mail out locally. We need to figure out a charity in one of your countries that would receive the profits of the sales. Looking for everyone's thoughts and suggestions.

Some of the riders, including myself, attended the Black Dog Ride in Alice Springs (central Australian Desert). See http://www.blackdogride.com.au

Any chance the design can be versitle enough to work as a smaller patch? Say about the same size as your IMRG patch? Most people who attach patches tend to have many and a big one like the one your showed may not necessarily be appealing to all.

Love it. Want it.

If no one is taking this on. I am happy to help with design and distribution

My thoughts would be Black Dog or mens health or mental health

And needs a southern cross

Just thoughts

Depends on whether the patch is Indian Motorcycle related or black dog.
Definite on the Southern cross.

Certainly an organisation linked to motorcycle (with great cause) would suit us as a forum, I would think.

Sounds like we have a strong demand for 'Southern Cross' in the image... perhaps, we could get a few designed and vote as a forum to finalise the design.

Hi guys, Im interested in taking this on. I think its something worth doing both to raise a few bucks for a good cause and as a way to promote the forum. I am happy to move forward and look at a design to include the southern cross and the forum address. If everyone is happy for me to do the same??? Don't want to step on any toes.

Thanks for your enthusiasm but give us bit of time to look into this. We didn't expect such a demand for patches but more importantly, we need consistency in branding. We might want to move beyond patches and calling cards... and a design that works for a patch may not work on other branded stuff.

Hi Cloud, that's an old post you dug up there... since this conversation took place, we created our own patch.  Also, Signguru seem to have closed shop.  His domain name is not linked to his sign making business.  In light of this, I will close this thread.
