DAVO
It's a known problem on 15-17 RM, they upgraded the mechanism as well as the motor on the 18 RM to stop the rattle, the screen rattles on my 17 RM only when fully extended so I leave my screen just short of full extension so it does not rattle, I know the fasteners are tight as I had disassembled the mechanism when I upgraded my RM with black faced gauges.

Well, it's there. You can clearly hear the difference between me holding the screen and not.
I can hear it on my $150 PC speaks from 12 years ago... just advance past 28 second mark.  I couldn't hear before that... at least, not well.  In any case, the important thing is whether Eotatavo's bike gets fixed by the dealer or not, in my opinion.  Keep us posted mate.

Agree with you V. What difference does it make if someone can or can't hear it. If the owner can, it's an issue.

Mine does occasionally. I shift down and roll on throttle. Windscreen noise goes away.

Hey Steven, I have relocated your post to this thread you might find interesting.  Somewhere within, there is a video showing you how to fix the rattle (NB: the fairing has to come off.)

This is, I think, the video V-Twin is referring to. You can get the parts from them or fabricate your own to make the repair. It is a very good video. (or at least I thought so)

Having done it now, taking the fairing off is not a big job at all. Trust me if I can do it, anyone can do it.
