I was riding to work this morning when I realised that my screen on the infotainment system was seemingly attracting my attention but I could not figure out why.

When I concentrated on the screen for a while, I noticed that it seemed to "flicker".  So I watched a little longer and I realised that the background on the screen changes (get's lighter and darker) at reasonably regular intervals.

I am going to have to take this into the shop to have it resolved but I am curious if others have experienced the same thing?

At first I thought I was imagining things as something seemed to "move" on the screen out of the corner of my eye or just below my vision.  It's not that frequent that it was completely noticeable but often enough to attract your attention to the screen wondering what it was that happened.  I don't recall it being like this when I took delivery of the bike which is why it is of concern.  This suggests that there is either an electrical fault or that the screen deteriorates over time - I will wait for the experts to perform the analysis but it is surely an odd development.

Hey Crash, sorry to hear about the issue.  If it is intermittent, you might need a video to show your workshop.  It sounds like the sort of issue that a short workshop test ride may not pick up.

...is it possible that the issue is caused by static electricity generated by your sheepskin?  😈
Let's be kind to one another.

It's not an automatic thing is it? For lighter and darker ambient light?

I think yours is a little flat and a little "bass"ic so how about we sharpen things up a bit and increase the speed 🙂

Has a thread been started about the type of music you listen to when riding?  "Running Bear" probably a standard.

No, but how about
"please don't let me be misunderstood" by the animals or
"poor poor pitiful me" by linda Ronstadt or
"evil ways" by Santana or
"go your own way" by Fleetwood mac 😃

My all time favourite though is:

Indian reservation by Paul Revere and the Raiders

Although you can't go past

Half Breed by Cher (geez she had a good body then 🙂 )
