Is anyone able to give an idea or nominate their best top ten songs or genre to listen to when on a decent ride?

Led Zeppelin is my favourite.
I was riding in the US along Hwy 1 from Santa Monica to San Franciso and "Going to California" was played a lot. Great sound..keeps ya smiling.

Problem is music is subjective - and in the 70's we were not starved for choice with Lynard Skynard, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Cold Chisel, AC/DC, ZZ top and the list goes on 🙂

Anything but Kylie or Wham!

I've never really had music on my bikes (my one experience with players & earphones was a dismal failure, bloody rain!).
I say never those two artists (?) because I find that the last bit of music one hears goes through the brain no matter what.
So, if the servo plays cr%p music as you depart you tend to replay/rehear it (hence said artists).  Not good going across the
Nullabor or driving up the Stuart!  Try having "I should be so lucky" or "gotta have a..." rumbling non-stop down the road!!!
Aaargh.... give me heavy metal any day (or swing/classical) .

😂😉😖

I agree with you there Crash, the 70s and 80’s had some good sounds, not sure on what the classical stuff would be like though especially pulling up at traffic lights, sorry Dr. Shifty

Hmmm, which Bach (Johann or Carl).  Of course Carl was in the classical period and Johann in the baroque.
I kind of like the Baroque period - most would have heard of vivaldi, monteverdi and schutz.  The classical period was dominated (to a degree by piano) and I prefer strings and woodwind.  Although, I do like the harpsicord of Jean-philippe Rameau - but that is a rather unique form of keyboard.

My mother's cousin was a well known organist and harpsichord performer in Melbourne and somewhere around here I have cassette tapes of him playing the Goldberg Variations, also Rameau, Couperin, Byrd, Scarlatti, maybe others. I remember in the 70s when he had a harpsichord made by Melbourne artist and harpsichord maker, Mars McMillan. It was an extraordinary work of art and music.
Cheers, Kim.

No big deal - just brought about the end of civilisation as we know it. I think having a Ducati outweighs the damage. 🙂

When we had the forum tour of Tassie a few year ago one of us had ditched Indian and was on a new Ducati xDiavel. It wasn't long before we all wanted one.
Cheers, Kim.

Franz is good, just not quite good enough to crack into the top 25.

I agree deano - just listen to what makes you feel good.

I agree with you Juan, but still think (in the back of whatever mind I have left) that it shouldn't include Kylie or Wham!
Sorry, personal preference, I know lots of people don't like Ramstein either, but they're wrong!  ðŸ˜
