Just a quick FYI... We all do it from time to time but until July 1st it was technically illegal.

Rule 271(A) now allow riders of motorbikes and motorcycles, when moving, to stand on the footrests with both feet, provided it is safe to do so, or remove one foot from the footrest if the rider is sitting on the seat, their other foot is on the footrest and it is safe to do so. This enables riders on long trips to legally stretch their legs.

Has anyone else noticed that people seem to die in alphabetical order?  Look at any obituary section and you'll know what I mean!  🤣

...okay, that's not funny.  I know... it was a 'dad joke'.  🙂

I always wondered who reads newspapers to see who passed?  🤔   ...but now I am wondering who actually follows what laws are published and modified?  Kristopher, thanks for bringing this to our attention and it is interesting but I think we need to get you back on your bike soon.   😜😀

Interesting how the differs, in some states this was already legal, as was instead of both hands on bars at all times it is one hand on the bar so you can stretch/rest a hand..

I believe you are now also allowed to push a motorcycle legally without a helmet on.  Previously you were required to wear a helmet when pushing a motorcycle.

In addition, if my partner informed me correctly, you are now able to sit on a motorcycle without having a helmet on (legally)

all we need now is a law that says you can steer with your feet whilst having cruise control on and texting and we should be good to go [biggrin]  (oh, sorry, we are not car drivers are we..........)

Interestingly, in NSW at least (I think), there was a law that was something like any car being driven must have someone walking in front of it waving a red flag. And it wasn't realised and taken out until like the 1980s or 90s. I haven't looked this up, it may be wrong. But it was my Dad that told me about it.
