hi all, I’m looking at buying a 2017 Indian scout in the willow green and cream from a dealer in NZ, can anyone confirm what colours were available in NZ in 2017? And what sort of issues were the on the 2017 models?

I've had the starter motor and clutch cable replaced on my 2017 scout.

I wouldn't be too concerned about grey imports, more so the service history.
Indian have a 800km run in service and them 8,000km/12 months service intervals after that

Hey thanks, this is the demo bike from the dealer so has been fully serviced and it has done around 2000k, was the Willow Green/Ivory Cream colour released in 2017 or 2018?

Hey Liz,

Not sure about the Scouts and colours but I would find out the ‘build date’ of the bike.  Often, demo bikes are their oldest stock.  At least in Oz.  If they are, you could haggle harder for a better price or decide to buy another demo/new bike.

I am pretty sure they included willow green and ivory for Scouts in 2018, and that makes me think that they didn't have them in 2017. My favourite colour combination, too... Hopefully, you will be able to prove me wrong.

hm, keep in mind that the bike may well have been manufactured late in the year for a next year model.  So, even though it is sold as a 2018 model it could have been built 2017.  One of my bikes is the example, the rego papers read as year of manufacture but the "model" is definately the following year.  This could explain any question re the colour scheme.
