Hey all,

I came across this website today and I thought it might interest someone.

It works just like the AirBnB.  Motorcycle owners list their bikes with daily rates.  Motorcycle renters search for bikes by locality.  Book online and pay TwistedRoad and the owner will get paid within 15 days of bike being returned.

If stolen or damaged, their insurance policy will cover up to USD$15,000.  They will also chase money from the renter also but I guess anyone interested in doing this will need to inform their insurance company as well.

You also get get to pick and choose who you will rent the bike as well.  If you are interested, there is a huge list of FAQ here:  https://www.twistedroad.com/faq

Interesting idea.  Motorcycle is a depreciating asset but if it can make money for you... I am thinking like this... when your bike is brand new, keep it off the rental market.  Once it has a few scratches and usual wear and tear after couple of years, list it for rental and make a few bucks to help you justify a new bike in a year or two. 🤔

Interesting. I like the idea for the same reasons you to... Not something for a shiny brand new bike but as they lose value, why not!

Hmm, interesting.

I thought it might be a good way to find a local bike to ride the Transfagarasan Highway.
Sorry, not happening. Only in the US.
And you need to carry bike insurance for any bike you ride, not just your own.

However, it looks like a good idea.
