Still got the floor Jack that I used on the Harley Ultra but the lines etc under the Roadmaster prohibit it's use, I was going to put a couple of bits of wood on it but thought I would check with you guys out there for any recommendations on how you lift your Roadmasters etc. Sick of getting the Mrs to help check the oil.

Just don't check your oil. This is an Indian, not a Harley. [tongue]

Hey Yu
I had a lift for my H-D. It wouldn't safely work with the Indians. I got a lift from this business, with rails for the Chief/Chieftains (same frame/engine) works well as it lifts on 4 frame/engine points around the edge (not on the engine case). I also have rails for a Scout. Four bolts to be removed for the change over.

Hi Hey Yu,

Do you mind taking a photo sometime of the Chief rails and its lift points? I'm interested in seeing where they support the bike.

I've already got a lift that worked fine for the Scout but the new Springfield sounds like a different story. I wonder if his rails will fit on my lift - I guess it all depends on the distance between the existing rails.
Cheers, Kim.

Here is the jack I bought the other day and it works great.
Total Tools $179.00 I think money very well spent.

I have the bike jacked up so I can clean the wheels before I wash and polish the bike, I'm also going to give the old blower a go to dry the bike quicker, seems like a few people are doing this now

Here are a couple of photos of my IB bike lifter. As Hey Yu said the bike sits on 4 points of the chassis. There is no contact with the engine case, wireing or plumbing. I have just carried out a wash and service on my bike.
I use the lifter when i wash the bike as it presents the bike at a more user friendly height and allows me to wash the wheels and scrub the white walls without drama 😁

For those who carry out their own servicing, this lifter provides unobstructed acess to the engine case underneath and a clear floorspace for a drain tin.
As you may notice, i welded a "T" hadle to the valve tool to have more control as the bike comes back to terra firma.

The only issue i have is the crappy front castors that do not like to turn, so i do not recommend you try to move the bike on the lifter.
Once the bike is up, it is the right height to work on it while sitting on my wheeled stool🙂

Definitely    http://www.ibbikelifts.biz/contact-us/
Good well built solid product that lifts around all the tricky bits under the Indian without causing damage.
Newcastle (near Gateshead from memory) mob build & supply it.
Use mine to turn bike around without too much drama but need a smooth concrete floor to do it on.  Just be careful.

I went the IB bike lift.
Bit expensive, but supporting homegrown is important to me.
T handle is a good idea Smog......mine comes down fast if I'm over zealous on the release valve.

Hey mate
I think i have bought the same jack. However I can't seem to find a way of aligning jack with bike. Any chance you take some pictures of where the lifting points are that you use. I can get jack to lift the frame at the rear end but worried about lifting using the casing at the front end. Just to be sure mine is exactly the same as yours I measured the rubber pads, 32cm x 32cm Cheers

I received a set if adapter mount to fit on the jack from one of the forum member from W.A., I have yet to fit them, but to solve your issue if you have the same jack as I do, you can place the jack under the bike frame and miss all the oil lines  I've done it a few times now you just have to get down on your hands and knees and look up you'll soon figure it out.
I'm out riding and working this weekend but will endeavour to take a few happy snaps for you when I can.
I hope this helps if not keep asking me till I answer you with the info that helps you
