Hey all, I don't think it is just me but I have GAS. That's right, Gear Acquisition Syndrome! Specifically, I seem to be 'attracted' to motorcycle jackets like some ladies to hand bags and shoes. I have 4 x leather jackets (well... there is another one in my closet from 20-odd years ago... which is too big for me now), 1 x all weather touring jacket, 1 x textile jacket. But always looking to add to the collection... at this rate, I need a seperate wardrobe to store motorcycle jackets! [biggrin] It can't just be me that keeps on buying 'stuff'!! What can you not resist buying and what is it?

seriously?  When have you gone for an overnight ride with others that hasnt inclduded them [smile]

for me it seems to be storage options, I have bags for luggage racks, saddle bags, fork bags, tool rolls etc....not sure why I do it, even been looking at chiefys new heat deflectors that have storage bags (although they would not be good for some items like choclates or phones)

My dirty little obsession is tools, maybe it's because I'm a Fitter/Welder by trade but I just can't help myself, I loose tools on purpose just so I have an excuse to buy and look at new ones.

I think I need "HELP"

Let us know when you need to start losing motorbikes so you can go looking for new ones, then we can help you. 😉

Yes I'm sure the hugs and kisses will be right onto me with that little stunt.....but it might be worth a try and test the water out a bit...

I met a guy who has to buy a black and chrome bike everytime.  Apparently his wife don’t notice him trading in for a new bike every few years if he stays with the same colour. 😝

I can just imagine the discussion around the dinner table,

rider: hey darlin, I am taking my bike in for a major service this week.
spouse: that's nice sweetheart, geez that bike shop looks after you, when it comes back it looks like it's brand new.
rider: Yep, they spend a lot of time detailing it for me.
spouse: I never noticed that we had heated seats before.
rider: we didn't it was part of the service, that was why it was called a "major" service.
spouse: oh, ok then - nice.

I think it was the case of taking advantage of a disinterested wife who doesn’t ride with her husband.  I thought he was joking at first... but was adamant that he had to buy another black and chrome... any other colour and she will notice it.  😝  Apparently it was his 4th new bike without the ’pre-approval’.

I wonder if he could have got away with...

”Honey, my bike is over 10 years old and getting a little tired.  I am going to get it resprayed... I’m thinking red...” 🤣
